At Mending Broken Wings and House of Hope, we respect and prioritize the privacy of our clients and residents. As a Christian life coaching center and a non-treatment sober living program, we are committed to protecting any personal health information (PHI) that may be shared in the course of our interactions. While our services do not involve direct medical or psychological treatment, we understand the importance of confidentiality and will take reasonable measures to ensure the privacy and security of any sensitive information shared.

Purpose of Privacy Protection

The purpose of this policy is to inform you about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including any health-related information shared during the life coaching or sober living programs at Mending Broken Wings and House of Hope. Please be aware that while we take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy, Mending Broken Wings and House of Hope do not have the same legal obligations as medical or mental health treatment facilities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Since our services are non-clinical, we do not maintain medical records or provide medical care, and as such, this policy does not fully extend to any medical or psychological treatments or services you may seek elsewhere.

Client Rights

As a client or resident of Mending Broken Wings and House of Hope, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Confidentiality: We will keep your personal information confidential and secure.
• Right to Review and Correct Information: You have the right to review your personal information on file and request corrections if necessary.

While we do not manage medical records or offer medical treatment, we ensure that any non-medical information you share within our coaching and sober living programs is stored securely.

External Providers and Partners

At House of Hope, residents may be referred to external treatment providers, such as Right Door (Ionia County, MI) or Pine Rest Christian Services (Grand Rapids, MI), for mental health or addiction services. These providers have their own privacy and confidentiality policies. By participating in these external services, you acknowledge that their practices and policies govern the privacy of any information shared with them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Mending Broken Wings and House of Hope reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy as needed. Any changes will be communicated to our clients and residents through appropriate channels, and the revised policy will be made available on our website.
